SEAGULLS + SELFIES
Kinda turned out just fine in the
end, didn't it?
When we finally agreed on
Porthcawl..lol...not Bridgend
We had our own way,
overturned the king's say
But you know what?
It was fab
It was great... a great day
Sitting on the beach for those
moments with you
Seagulls and selfies enhancing
the view
The ice creams all melting the
way ice creams do
The sea calm and rippling it's
soft ocean blue, with
Love in the air making
memories.... not cheap
Snapshots of birthdays and
families to keep....
And the meal in the pub ate on
summers fine breeze
Families and jokes and the
beers all a'freeze
Your dad smiling proud
though he'll hide that away
Too precious to bare in the
harsh light of day
Then the 'quick' ten mile hike
over sand dunes to sea
With sisters in high heels and
mother's a'freeze
Presents of Joop, and
A beer on the way
Lectures in wisdoms from
dad's guiding ray
Yea...it was great...
It was a great day son...
