Poem -

~Season of the Witch~

Nothing fey as OctoberĀ

Leaves decaying underfootĀ

Take on the loam of the graveĀ

The woods are a haunted placeĀ

Samhain is old magicĀ

Anyone can walk intoĀ

Your days and dreams at SamhainĀ

Old bones, cold bonesĀ

Lying in the groundĀ

Shallow bones, fallow bonesĀ

Good to have aroundĀ

At Samhain, we rememberĀ

That life and death are twinnedĀ

As we walk through the waningĀ

Sunshine of the yearĀ

Shadows stretch out before us

One to stir the cauldronĀ

Two to beat the tuneĀ

Conjuring the ghostly ghostsĀ

Who march beneath the moon

We remember those who come beforeĀ

Those whose love remains

Although their physical form be gone

We think on those never born.Ā
