SEASONS

Oh earth oh earth
Oh sweetest earth
Revealed in all your naked girth
Party dress dissolved away
Gone with suns last warming rays
You of summers glorious hues
When magic was your song
Your beauty shimmering in the shine
Pinks and purples, lemon lime
Then autumn's cloak revealed anew
It edges teased in morning dew
And danced you in your lovers arms
Who stripped bare all your wondrous charms
Seductive in the gales and breeze
You swayed and twirled so bold
To freely shed your coat of leaves
Orange copper bronze and gold
Now stand you tall, alone and cold
Pregnant and divine
Waiting for the icy caul
A shroud of frozen shine
For winters heart shall beat for you
Bestow you with its bounty true
Present to you it's frozen gems
Crystals iced blue, diamonds too
And sleep shall you in frosted shawl
Your secrets safe within
And wake shall you to birth anew
The ripest colours of brand new spring
Green and lush.

Marionette,
You are truly a beautiful writer.
That was fantastic! Gorgeous imagery! Exquisite wording. Nearly sensual(I see the Earth in a whole, new way! lol).
Just fantastic...but we expect that from you.
Great job!!
Hugs,
Matthew.
Ha ha...it's the closest I can write to a love poem Mathew, I will leave the real ones to the masters...you and Cherie, thankyou ?
