Seasons

Seasons

Sniffles and mittens, boiling kettles with whistles

Pumpkins with faces, sticky apples, creepy creatures that may chase us

A million different colours of gold’s and red

Sometimes I paint with all these colours in my head

Crackling from the fireplace, sparks jump out and fly

Just some of the reason I am happy to bid summer goodbye

Chats in the evening sitting comfy and close, giggling at the good times gone by

Woolly socks that make us want to wiggle our toes

Soon there will be sparkle, glitter and lights

Smells from the oven of turkey & mince pies

Children will play in fields of white, laughter and joy echo into the cold winter’s night

Little by little the light will increase new buds appear and spring will be here

New life will begin and nature reborn

Good write Louise, full of beautiful imagery and the family joys, so many enjoyments of mine that you spotted out about fall especially thanksgiving lol. I really liked your "fields of white" reference about snow very cool. Allstars well done.
