Secret Love

Secret Love

Secret Love

When twilight falls upon me

I drift into deepest sleep

Bringing with me my secret

The one that I must keep.

The night breeze tells the skylark

The nightingales now know.

And sing my secret softly.

To the four wild winds that blow

Above her home the angels.

With a voice like misty rain

Will tell the yellow linnet

sat by  her window pane

Oh Angels and the songbirds

While in my distant dreamy sleep

Sing to my love the secret

That I would die to keep.
