Secrets

Secrets

Have you ever kept someone else's secret?
Holding it like it was your own?
The burden it weighs on you to keep quiet,
As it torments your soul and wanting to release?

It's not fair to put one in this position,
Knowing now they, too, are guilty of lying,
Deceiving others now in the web they created,
Living with the knowledge yet keeping mouth shut.

So who's wrong now in this situation?
The one doing wrong or the one not telling?
Should that person holding come out and share?
Or do they stay loyal to the one they love?
