~ Secrets From The Womb ~

~ Secrets From The Womb ~

I kiss the secrets of my tomb
With an unexpected ease
A childlike tear rolls down on me
As if to admonish my empathy
So I curl myself, as if in the womb

Glistening mahogany, a sterile wood
My room without the anger downstairs
Without crazy moments of blood everywhere
Without the heavy silences or broken chairs
So I curl myself up, as if misunderstood

I place my arm beneath the running water
The razor slices my skin so smoothly open
I pray this quick sting will quell my emotion
Behold, a floating fetus in a pool of red lotion
So I curl myself up ,as if a mother's daughter

Potential am I, in a comfortable bed unborn
An amoebic resemblance of a quantum arranger
A lonely entity entering a world even stranger
A slippery intruder hiding a most feral danger
So, I carefully unravel my umbilical cord
And begin to sing, my song to the world...

Tony!
Man, that was fantastic!
Terrifically penned, and deep, and painful, and yet hopeful.
Great write, Tony!

FRANTIC FREE-VERSER

Yes Tony this has much depth...
And conjures up much in the imagination.
The piece has a subtle darkness to it

Ooooh pinned!! Excellent write Tony, deep dark disturbing ( I love disturbing)...and so very powerful. Read it a few times, each time I could feel the anxiety and growing unease and...violence...touched with a sense of resigned apathy, at least that's how it spoke to me...love it ?

My Dear Tony,

Wow.  Another masterpiece painted by an "artiste extraordinaire"!  Magnificent metaphors take the reader to the darkest side of life, known to be "the razor's edge".  Scary stuff, my friend.

They say the most painful experience in life
Is the one when you are born
Brought into a brand new world
From your Mother's womb are torn

.
But oft times as one's years pass by
Suffering and pain run deep
Too often, more than one can bear
And choose this life no longer keep

Love you Bro,
Larry xxx
