Poem -

seeing through my ugly eye

Stupid things
To pretty smile
Don't you know
Too soon
You'll die

Blooming cute in coloured rows
Coyley sweetened, all on show
Used up by the buzzing bees
Happy to give all and please

Stupid flowers
Smiling there
Giving all away

Don't you know too soon
You'll die
Rotting in your crumpled piles
Fodder for the worms and flies
Dust to dust
Beneath his sky

its what we in the trade call insight .. your ugly eye sees things perfectly clear .. and the subject matter lens itself perfectly to poetry .. and just for the record, I would have given my eye teeth to have come up with this one x
