Self Perception

My perception of me is easy,

I look in the mirror and see,

a creative soul an imaginative being,

I can see myself without really seeing.

I am a woman, I am a child, I am a mother,

sister friend..

I am a being who learns in life how to mend.

My perception of me is nothing complicated,

I am just someone who tries to get along in

this cruel hard world, with poem and song.

I am a free spirit, one with nature at hand,

one with the heavens, one with God,

one with the land.

Whoever says differently is totally blind,

and does only not know me,

but is rather unkind.

I am true to myself and am not out of my mind.

My perception of me is simple;

I am an artist that is my nature,

I love creating, writing, inventing, singing,

makes me fell free,

I need it like we all need to breathe..
