Poem -

Self pity

Good day?
Why are you crying?
What you are disabled?
Now, now, let me see...
You have both legs,
Two arms...
You can see, hear,
You are walking,
You seem sound of mind...
What!
You are disabled, because...
You must wear glasses!
For this you must deluge your tears?
You are a mockery!
I take back what I said before,
You are truly not sane!
What has the youth become today?
Self conceited brat,
Get over yourself,
The world owes you nothing!

Something that needed to be said, in a poem that needs to be read.   If for any other reason, as a response to the 'Munchhausen by Internet' phenomena.

Good Job!

Phillip Arthur ...

When I wrote this I was not thinking about "Munchhausen by internet", I was just writing about an event regarding a girl who had to get glasses and it was like the end of the world for her. Now that you mentioned it, it seems to fit. The subconscious is a wonderful thing. Thanks for the compliment.
