Self Pride

My spirit was shattered, still my flesh pressed on,
Suprressing the thoughts that knew i was wrong.

The devil had his claws sunk deep, i will admit

You will never understand, how much im ashamed of it.

The thoughts that circle my head you can not fathom,

So don't judge me, unless you can say that you've had them.

I'm sorry for the wicked things i have done in the past,

I have enough regret, no need to remind me of that.

If you don't understand the struggle im going through,

How can you judge me like i know that you do?

I'm only human, we make mistakes all the time

A sin is a sin, your's no different than mine.

So as you sit high on your pedestal, take a look in the mirror

Make sure thine own image is crystal clear,

If you tell me it is i'll know your liar,

With that you're only feeding the fire.

I've made peace with my past, i gave up the pipe

I'll do all i can to resist, i swear on my life.

I know that my track record stands against me,

But i'mma make everyone proud just wait and see.

Heavenly father i now speak to you,

I thank you for all the things, you've put me through.

I thank you for every trial, and every test,

I'm sorry for my slowful way, my life was a mess.

I wanna do better as the days come and go,

I give unto you the reins where you lead i will follow.

I'm done rebelling it'll only hurt me in the end,

Please guide me father i ask in jesus name Amen.
