Senioritis; Bitter Truth

Senioritis

We begin to dream, a glimpse of our sin

Our attention grows thin as we descend

Plagued by the dead lines of the ardent

We wake at three in hopes to be free

Procrastination takes over our mind

As we fall back asleep for salvation

Wailing for the end of this prison's hell

We curse the assignment and what is due

Homework you say? Well, we shrug it away

Why so many papers? Why this test?

Will there ever be an end to this year?

We drag the day as we burn it away

We see no fun in this, we'll play a game

We screw our priorities and party

Knew the paper was due; we say no clue

Trailing the line in order to get by

We sometimes fail and we rarely prevail

So light up the day and toke it away

We start; never finish; we are artists

Genius of this art to fail perfection

Suspended into our alternatives

Time passes and so does our last chances

Graduation comes and we lose our chance

We dread this disease; I want to succeed

Senioritis we curse thee for this end
