Senses

Senses

It's dark

I can't see you

With every stroke of your hand

I feel you forming me

I still can't see you

I smell you

An unmistakable scent

The redolence of new

My eyes are open but I don't see you

I can taste you

Like crisp drops of dew

You quench me

Will I ever see you?

I hear you

As distinct as thunder

And swift as wind

I discern you.

I know you but I've never seen you.

How you see beauty in darkness, J. That's what intrigues me most.

sprinkles seeds in concrete

Waters them with poetry
