Sentenced

Sentenced

Society has spoken

too many rules broken

the key has been thrown away

in this cage you must stay

No chance of a reprieve

alone your mother grieves

she didn't bring you up to be this way

for your sins she must pay

She shoulders all the guilt you don't feel

tries the wounded to heal

she gets spat on at every turn

her emotions churn

Society has spoken

too many rules broken

your safely barred

your mother's scarred
