September the first 🍁

Twas a chilly morning on September the first, tho one seldom questioned why

Thirty one long days of August became history in but the blink of an eye

Snatching summer from Mother nature, leaving autumn in it’s wake

Cooler shorter days with chillier longer nights, for heaven’s sake

Timelessness shows no mercy, as it swiftly speeds up it’s running reels

Racing around the circuit of the clock, with it’s whirling cogs and whirling wheels…
