Seven

Seven

A rainbow gently set  its foot
and suddenly the grass turned red
I close  my eyes and fantasise

two long curled eyelashes
above orange almond eyes
in a bed of yellow freckles
buried for life in green cheek dimples
a blue birthmark barely hidden as
a pearl in the indigo hair
next to a striking violet denture

I pray the Lord for 7 days
that she may love me all the way
if not I’m doomed to take for bride
seven deadly sins all night.
