Seven stealthy Sparrows 💕

Carefully and cautiously coz there was prickles on this hawthorn hedge

And I crouched down on my knees on an old oak stump ledge

Just in the nick of time to see seven stealthy Sparrows fledge..

As I watched and I waited I heard the little cute chirpers tweet

Seven snuggling Sparrows sounded ever so sweet

I was at one with Mother nature sat secretly amongst the mossy peat

Soaking up that Summer sunshine and feeling the warm, welcome heat..

Then each one of my little feathered friends flapped their tiny wings and flew out of their cozy nest

Stopping short intervals to take a well-earned rest

Coz this initial first ever flight was a challenge and certainly a test
