Poem -

Seventh grade Angel

At that time, I thought it was the most terrible time of my life.

He came in with a shinny bald head and sparkling blue eyes.

I was surrounded with  children throwing spit balls,

placing "kick me" signs.

To me he was an inspiration,

wise and kind.

with an enchanting smile on his face.

He dealt with the chaos...

with dignity and grace.

The classmates were rude and mean...

but he continued to protect and  encourage me.

He was a teacher I will never forget.

His poetry teachings from my mind I will not remit.

George W. Tatum I realized...

was an angel in disguise.
