SEVENTY FIVE YEARS

Seventy five years ago today was a wonderful time 
Inspired this poet to compose a little rhyme 
For this day in history will always remain 
The end to a war no more anguish and pain

Seventy five years on the world fights once more
A different type of war that is for sure 
There will be an end just the same as before 
Be grateful for surviving is what I must implore 

Seventy five years and the world still goes round
A different beat to a very different sound 
Love one another and be thankful the common aim
Looking back seventy five years it was just the same
