Severed

Severed you and I, why it is you can not see.
Nothing but slivered pieces dwell within me.
Blackened hearts and stillness stains the once fresh air.
Darkened moods and shattered dreams.
Memories of what was once there.
Cells I feel them disintegrating, the heaviness to much to bare.
Pulverized to the ground...yet none of this is fair.
We've been here before, yet here we stand again.
Torn...defeated, perhaps now our time will end.
Why it is I question...how love can suddenly die.
Was it ever love, all was it just a lie?
Blackened hearts and stillness stains the once fresh air.
Darkened moods and shattered dreams.
Memories of what was once there.
Splintered pieces now lay, upon the hard floor.
Shattered bits of glass reflecting back all.
I catch a glimpse of a thought, while contemplating.
Ideas change, but love remains, forever...standing.
To put back our broken segments, their better left alone.
Each one a reminder of how much I have grown.
Interpretation's change and bring new perception.
A discovery of myself I found in your reflection.
Blackened hearts and stillness stains the once fresh air.
Darkened moods and shattered dreams.
Memories of what was once there.
