I'm Hiding. In shadows I survive.

Cut off from the World, but on the edge of the darkness.

Embraced by the pain.

I hide from everyone.

The struggle,

the war in my mind is constant torment.

I can't break free from the worries and dark thoughts;

the shackles holding me in the dark.

Why do I do this to myself?

Why, when I'm close to an escape do I fear stepping into the light?

Is the war in my mind real?

What if it is?

So, there in the darkness I stay.

Stuck somewhere between completely black and light.

Torn between loving my prison

and craving my freedom.

Here I'll stay,

queen of the darkness.
