Shattered Dreams

Shattered Dreams

Standing on the shores of opportunity.

I got less but I wanted more.

I seen you in my dreams.

As you closed the door.

I looked to the reflections.

And I saw more.

I like to say that we both tried.

But you just watched as our love,

Wilted and died.

Here comes deceptions rolling tide.

Rolling along shattered dreams by his side.

If my destiny is meant at all.

I'm sure it'll be my fate first to fall.
