Poem -
Shattered Heart
I wish you knew the hurt I feel,
The broken heart that's not revealed,
Yet on the inside shattered pieces one can't see,
And possibly the greatest hurt that's happened to me.
In time I know I'll heal from this wound,
The pain not as deep as the others in room,
Where brokenness lingers still today,
But I'll be alright if you would please just stay.
We can work through this, I know, with no regrets,
For it's a turning point for us just to forget,
As the pain we've both experienced is real,
But in time I know this too will eventually heal.
