Shattered the Illusion

Serendipity played her part
Cupid shot his arrow straight for her heart
Illusory fragments of reality
Shattered and fragmented.
You were waiting for a foretold Messiah
A creature from beyond the veil.
You had custom painted your creation
Although the life imbued fantasy was a pale approximation..
Hanging on the forecast of the Crone
You adorned your inner vision with crystals and baubles
A longterm vision waiting to be born into your world.
You, fragile and fractured
Waiting for the Messiah
Cracked and crazed
Unevenly glazed
Awaiting redemption.
Not finding what you had been searching for
A kaleidoscopic mirage of mind born thoughts
Making their way through the ether
To reflect themselves in matter
You fell apart.
Shattered the illusion
Broke the pot
And scattered the crazed pieces to the winds.

Thanks for your support Lisa. It means a lot from such a great writer as yourself.
Ru, I don't think I am that gifted but truly it is in the author's perception. I finally published a book. it took a long time for me to decide. mostly because I don't believe in myself.Β
Well for what my opinion is worth, I think you are a great writer, among the best on Cosmo. I truly hope your book does well because your poetry deserves a wide audience. Much love x
