Shattering

Is love a fancy or a feeling? No.
Tis' not an illusion created by closed eyes-
But for hearts in need of healing-
Not a game to some, yet far too funny to most-
But once we've tasted loves sweet lure-
"A lovesick fool" we are diagnosed-
Is it wrong?
To crave those three words-
Wishing to sing them out as if a song-
How the most vivid colours seem to cry out in pain-
How even the flowers look all too vain-
And even music's melodies cannot match that of the rain- 
When my mundane life receives the gift of meaning-
Of your unbreakable love-
And eternal daydreaming-
For months I was your promise and you mine-
But time never forgets to tick-
Even though the sun no longer wished to shine-
I never forgot your words, and I can only hope you recall mine- 
But if you’re truly happy, so far from me-
