she looks out into the moon

She looks out to the moon
She looks out to the moon to find any memory of you that she can.
She longs for your whisper, and the touch of your hand.
Anything that she's able to hold on to, anything that reminds her of you.
She lost everything that she has ever loved.
Going on, without you will never be enough.
Everyone told her not to hold on so tight.
It was a losing battle, and one hell of a fight.
You can see it in his eyes, that he wanted to let you go.
He didn't want you to see him at his worst, because he loved you so.
He wanted your last memory together to last.
So that you would let him go, and move out of your past.
Now that he's gone, she talks to angels every night.
She looks up to the moon, every day is just one big fight.
She misses him dearly, and wishes that she was dancing in his arms, just like old times.
Love to her is nothing but pain, love is a crime.
he was taken away from her, thats what she feels inside.
She still doesn't understand why he had to die

Awww thanks so much for the kind words. I really appreciate the comment.
Lovely brought a tear to my eye ♡
Awww thanks so much
Hey TERRYLIN!!....what I found so engaging about this write was the fact that it involved three separate parties!!...,,the narrator speaking for both involved parties separate perspectives.....making it VERY unusual and VERY compelling......trying to keep the "he felt" "she felt" separate and poetic must have been challenging for the author!!.....for me it was truly a breath of fresh air.....and worthy of several read-throughs!!......ALL STARS!!.....well done sweet poetess!!.....and.....WELCOME to COSMO!!.....LOVE and ROCKETS!!.....T xo ?☀✴✳
Awww thanks so much for the inspiring message!!
His life a tragic loss,
Her pain a higher cost
The poet's touch is here
Of that it is quite clear
Your poem touched me so
Just though you ought to know
