She Realised

She Realised

And than she realised, the light she saw was not inner peace or heaven, but the very essence of her soul. All the screams she never let out, deafining, ear piercing, painful. All the things she ever wanted to say circling her, yelling back, mocking, chasing her through her own mind, all the tears she ever held back rushed in like the dam had finally given way, drowning her in her very sorrow.
And than she realised, how can I be dead and yet still feel every ounce of pain and sadness? How can I be dead and feel no peace, no happiness, no joy, no light? How can there still be so much darkness whwen its so bright?
And than she realised, your soul carries on, for all you have not forgiven stays with yo, haunts you, torchers you.
And than she realised, killing yourself doesn't ease the pain, but rather makes it harder to let go of because that's all you brought with you, so that's all you have.
And than she realised, the secret to her own peace, was to always forgive, but never forget.
The darkness faded, and than she realised, holding on to the past will only keep you there, letting go will set you free.
