She Sees

She sees 
With the world in her hands
At the bottom of her feet
A mysterious man walking down the street 

She sees
A beautiful lady 
A beautiful man 
Hand in each hand
Saying “marriage is mad”

She sees 
A child awake 
A child that’s sad 
A child awoken by God’s holy hand 

She sees 
What life was like
That life is love 
And love was all that made her give up

She sees 
Her future, her heirs
Her children, her husband 
All in despair

Life’s not a dream 
It’s the realest thing
It’s the greatest gift God’s given me 
Don’t take it for granted 
Don’t burn it to dust 
Give hope and show love
Don’t envy and lust 

I cried and I wept 
As I sat on my bed
My friend lost all hope
And now she is dead 

But it’s important to know
We’re here for a reason
Love God and love people 
In every single season
Preach hope and preach life
Preach all that you might
