Poem -

She Sleeps...

Exhaustion sweeps like waves
crashing boulders, as day
droops and drowns, drifts
away

A single white star sends a
lonesome soft glow, as a
yellow sand yawn's, turns to
grey

And all about
As earth farewells a sun,
morphing to dark as a whole
As a one...

A beauty depleted and done
with the light
Placing all trust in the
welcome cool night
She sleeps

Got a real sense of sinking into that loneliness at night. A stillness and sadness which feels weighted in your well penned words đź’—
