She was an Angel
She was an Angel,
Both lovely and graceful,
She was an Angel,
To the Almighty she was grateful.
Blessed with feathers pink,
Blessed with feathers blue,
An angel who's wings consisted of all different hues.
Unique is what you could say,
A different type of angel,
Beautiful in her own way.
She spent her days playing with the birds and the bees,
She spent her nights staring at the stars,
Sleeping under trees.
Life was easy,
Life was fun,
Life was great,
Until she met the summer Sun.
The Sun golden and bright,
The Sun able to awaken life with its light.
She envied its power its strength and its height,
She envied it with all of her MIGHTY, MIGHT, MIGHT!
She was no longer proud of her colors,
She longed to be gold,
Not the colors of the flowers.
So she flew up high to meet this golden Sun,
She flew up high to take the place of this summer Sun.
She was an angel that got too close,
She was an angel whos wings were toast!
She was an Angel,
Both lovely and graceful,
She was an Angel,
That sadly became ungrateful.
She was an Angel that flew too close to the sun,
She was an Angel who has now turned human.
