She was forced to hustle

She lost her father in the air force
her mother kicked, her to the curve
soon as she, lost the caresource
With no where to turn
press for sleep, she would give, her right, arm to eat
but there was, no retreat
Its torture, when you face defeat
broken streets, trash smelling up the air
the inner spirit deceased
Money has to be made, survivors never die
she put her panty hose on, and slid the pistol
to the side
Now she's feeling buried alive, mean inside
the crazy places that she visits, made it hard for her to cry
She was chosen, for the life of crime
her support system broke down, so financial motives
must apply
So that's why she, stands on the corner
trying to make her money double
she never wanted trouble
she was forced to hustle

Desia, What can i say,
Wow dude i love this poem, a life real and lived daily, by many forced to survive by it......Hey Morris Mr. Scales is tipping in your from yard, trying to seriously take your throne, as he feverishly knocks on your door, with one great poem sounding like it has be written by (yours truly)...Sounds a lot like Morris D.....Living near the city of (Los Angeles) California for some years, as a social worker, assisting families with children back in my days, brought me face to face, with situations such as this and man have you depicted this one to the bone...A life of being on the hard end of the grind you have summed up quite well......This one is as real as they get....I felt more than just the feelings you placed in this poem, i saw your true images attached as well.....I just as you, know this happens all across the world but for me, you most definitely placed, back in California, near L.A.once again...Only a scene in the movies for the many, but a real life way of living for those that have to face and survive by it..All i can say is Wow once again...
Great poem,
Jim
Thanks bro yo whos morris d i aint hip
Morris Derry, one of your councils on this site and another poet as well and quite a remarkable one i might add. His style and yours, appear to be as two identical book ends are to a shelf......A very good comparison and i am sure you both will have the pleasure of each others acquaintance real soon....Keep doing what you do, you have a great style to boast on...
Later,
Jim
