As you anxiously practice
Three lines in that child voice
Three lines on the cat

Solemn, excited...your first
speaking part
An angel no less...child,
you own my old heart

You love my blood redder
You smile my beat faster
Your beautiful moon sparkle's
there
In green eyes

But you do not know that
As I anxiously watch you
Rehersing three lines
On that solemn old cat
