Shining stars

Oh wind and waves, I love you –
if you’re not there,
my rudderless boat would’ve
never reached the shore!
 
Oh shining stars of the sky, I thank you –
for being my companion every night
in endless ocean, showing me I am not lost
when caught unawares  in  tribulations!
 
The mighty waves I feared once
came to my rescue at last!
The dark nights I feared most
showed me the shining stars  in the sky
when I looked up for solace,
reminding it is not the end of road!
