Signal

Somewhere deep
In the DNA of my cerebellum
Is the echo of a cry
It is a distress call
My tribal mother cheif cries
At the boarder of an inner village
When I hear that chord strike
The fire of my hearth signals
Smoke rises in the air of my blood
My hair stands on end
It can come in the shrill
Of a discordant song
Or be mimicked by a lyrebird
When it plucks my ektar
I prepare to kill
