Silence was the key
Silence was the key
No one ever made me feel as small As you did.
No one never made me feel as weak.
No one made me feel as broken, you dragged me to my knees with words so loudly spoken never breaking bone
But cutting deep to my soul.
Everytime I stood back up and repaired what you had broke, you'd come back forÂ
Second round shattering my very heart and soul once again I'd fall without warning to myself
Nights spent staring at the ceiling, tears would flow unstoppable out of my control it seemed
As soon as I'd opening up that's when it all would start not knowing why nor was it I,
I think it was me and doubts would seed and plant themselves Like roots too trees, that's when I started to lose the biggest part of me.
Not able to see myself, unrecognizable even to others around me or any reflection that caught A climps of my face ,I lost who I was it was clear to see.
I gave up all that I loved Art and music and poems..writing became A thing of the past and truth be told that broke my heart it broke my very soul.
Then came the day when I rebuilt myself to the point of unbreakable, strenght grow I'm now unshakable.
Â
That day I learnt it's was you and all that you choosed to be,it didn't even have anything to do with me if only I knew this  back then there be no need for repair of one self.
What you said and what you became was out of my control from start to end, your walls had been built brick by brick long before the day we meet your concrete was well set.
Â
And as time past my smile grow back and  once again i became myself,No hurt nor pain no doubts nor tears just love for Me.
I started to grow from inside instead and now my face it glows,my smile lights up any dull day either it rains or snows.
Lessons learnt and walls torn down no longer leaving it to faith.
From that day iv taken back control of who I am and the woman that I am today.
Silence was the key.
