Dear Higher Power above
In your absolute design
Shine down your encompassing love
Reveal your face to me, God divine

Whoever you are, if you exist
Bring me what was once lost, what I almost had
I stroked his hair and his forehead I kissed
But only in my dreams, in waking life I go mad

Please lure my babe back into my life
A life torn in half and crumpled to be thrown away
A life cut in the middle, by Satan's knife
His soul, when joined with mine, can be sewed with Heaven's needle, with no fray

Dear Lord, I am your humble and faithful devotee
Let him find me and I will welcome his presence
To love this man is your love for me
These two forms of love have no difference

So I ask in a silent prayer
Send him back to me, to break free from the chains of loneliness
As long as the sea is not bare
I will wait for him, for that infinite bliss
