Broken soldier (PTSD)
Don't tell me to man up or that you understand,
Because I lost my husband somewhere in the desert sand,
His body is at home but his mind is still out there,
Replaying it every night tell me how that's fair,
A man of 19 that saw his life flash before his eyes,
Now he lives with nightmares hearing comrades cries,
Don't tell me it's Ok or that you understand,
That he flinches everytime when I try to hold his hand,
He lost his friend in battle and he lost his mind at war,
Now he's struggling to find a life worth living for,
To the army he's just a number but that number is my one,
Slowly watching him dissappear and soon he will be gone,
My husband wasn't a casualty he still has every limb,
The thing that is killing him so slowly is his demon's hid within
