Silver Bone

SILVER BONE

My best friend 
Well she 
She won’t stop till the bone 
shows right through
And she butters a knife
Just to fake her breakfast
Lately too,
She’s been all layered 
and covered in sleeves
And I fear for what is hiding underneath
Where is the happy girl
I used to know
The one who laughed at everything
And didn’t let those stupid
Remarks
Get to her head
And the worst part is
I know she knows I care
But she just never seems to notice
The river I create
Every time I cry
