Silver threads amingst the gold 🤣

Silver threads amingst the gold 🤣

As I sit in solitude conjuring memories in my head

I try to recall the precise moment when I first found a single grey thread..

One solitary oddball standing out from the rest

Betwixt my blonde golden locks, indicating I’m getting on in years..passed my very best..

Well tho I dig in amongst the dusty drawers within my entire mind

I cannot remember that single grey thread, that time won’t unwind..

Perhaps it never happened with only the one with me

Goodness know’s but nowadays I am as white as can be!!

When did this occur I really haven’t got a clue.

And tho I would much prefer blonde hair, there is simply nothing I can do..

You see no matter what salon I visit to try to amend my white colour that is there

They tell me “I am very sorry Madam, but no hair dye works on your hair”

So alas I am stuck with this awful aging colour on my mop

And it was because of that very reason, I decided to get a chop..

I used to wear my blonde hair to my shoulders without any fringe

But the thought of long white hair on me really does makes me cringe..

So my style is short and white which makes me want to sigh

yet this is me getting on abit as my blonde head has said “Goodbye”…
