Poem -

Simple Man. I am.

I am self-diagnosed human man, self-medicated with love and compassion.

I'm stitched together with courage and patience.

I fear not time for I know it is endless.

Let the scars on my face be the map of how and where I've sinned.

My body, an unfinished temple, dedicated to the forgotten angel, a stranger, and the stars above.

I am the boy time forgot and love brought back after taking the life remedy.

Dragging knuckle across the faces of the shadows that hover over head.

Β I am free.

She held on to my heart before I knew what love was.

The others never understood the blueprints to my mind.

I am the father of hate and sadness, I suckle on the teet of abandonedment.

As a simple man, I have no kingdom, so I hide away in my history I made up.

I bring the sunshine, with my rage and understanding, my stance is wonky.

I am he with a silver tounge entice my poison to stay just a little longer.
