Poem -

Sin to Salvation

By what manner of failures
have I come face to face
With the corruptions of my soul
which thrust me into this place

Those countless bitter tears wept
born from the heart of a sinner
When the illusions have finally faded
dispelling the golden idols glimmer

Gods so wholly servedĀ
keeping mute to my painful cries
Broken, confused and shamed
now I'm deaf to their silent lies

From the diet upon which I feasted
empty from the filth ingested
Looking upwards to God of Heaven
smallest measures of hope invested

Nothings left for me to grasp
but that thread from His hand
Clinging desperately to this lifeline
venturing prayerfully into foreign land
