Sister grief

Sister grief
Sister, I have mountains of grief
Over here, by this road underneath
Where the peaks rest in long clouds
And the rain falls desperately loud
Brother rain across the land
In floods we pass and wither
In this deep we die together
Sister grief I woke beside you
Waking up in waters blue
Ran beside you across the meadow
Breaking in the water shallow
Brother rain across the land
In floods we pass and wither
In this deep we die together
The greatest rain does understand
The tides that sweep the lonely sand
Your death this day not in vain
For years that held the living pain
Brother rain across the land
In floods we pass and wither
In this deep we died together
