Sisters

Sisters

I loved you,
Blood of my blood,
Sharing mother's womb,
A room in home.

Growing up we played,
House as a theme,
With Mommy and Daddy,
Babies in hand.

Then we grew up,
Real families to raise,
Children in arms,
And rocking at night.

Then came downfall,
An affair to separate,
A man to place above,
Dividing once for all.

Heartache at the end,
A sad story to tell,
Forever broken it was,
Yet still love in memory.
