Sittin’ in the midday sun?

Sittin’ in the midday sun?

Under the shade of the old oak tree
Sat with my back against the trunk
That is where you will find me
I might even get a little drunk

Idling a sunny afternoon
singing my huckleberry song
Nobody else is around
So I make up the words as I go along

Strumming my old guitar
Sitting in the midday sun
I can’t think of a better way
to relax & have some fun

Swigging from a cider bottle
Ooh it sure does feel good
This old oak tree is a favourite of mine
It stands proud in the middle of a wood

There’s no other sound that can be heard
Only me, my guitar & a kookaburra bird
I’ll stay here till the day is done
When the sun has set & the darkness has begun

It doesn’t take much to make me happy
I’m an easy kind of guy
I love nature, I’m an outdoor chappy
With the sun & the moon in the sky
