Poem -

SITTING ON DADDY'S KNEE

When I was young Daddy took me upon his knee
Told me the time that he was a sailor away at sea
All the far away cities that he used to frequent
I was too young to know what he meant

Names like Berlin and Dresden meant nothing to me
The times when Daddy took me upon his knee
For he was fighting for his country and King
Just another sailor doing his thing

Looking back now I wish those days would last
Those knee visits on Daddy a memory of the past
My Daddy was an extremely brave man
Telling his stories the way only my Daddy can
