Skies Over Britain

Skies Over Britain

This my  tribute to Mary Ellis sadly she passed away aged 100 didn'"t  know until by chance whilst doing some research on the Internet
Total lack of knowledge
there were women flyers during ww2 why was I never thought at school
Amongst many Aircraft she flew, was the Spitfire a truly magnificent plane so responsive to whatever your needs
To this very day If any WW2 planes are flying In skies overhead,  I know Instant when Its a Spitfire or a Lancaster Bomber to hear the Merlin Engine such a distinctive sound and truly spectacular sight I hope I'll see and hear many more before I die, so farewell Mary Ellis lady of the skies you who have touched my life.
