SKIN

laid the kiss upon your alter
screaming silent fears swim in mirrors ,collected in broken piles of reflecting tears
a tight weaved rug seeks my eye
i ponder on its dull design
my life is in suicidal contemplation -yet senses seek a saviour
crucified colours now dance ,taunting a lover spread across the crushing wave
wild dogs howl ,there necks bald and tongues drip the sacred skin
i decide to scratch the marble arm
the word RAW Â has asked me to balance
once you have taught the skin crazy
you never really accept the way the room stands square
1940's glass corset-strung on the modern leash
dusty alarms ache to sound the heavens psalm
morbid, brown caskets- where the images of the living cling to the finest photographic halls
must i take another captive breath
will peace always blow in the autumn madness
the skin climbs
the skin sleeps
it wakes a couple of times in darkness and on throne
spilling desperate pools of liquid across clean smiling shrouds
again the skin moves against the unwanted collisionÂ
the skin awakes
