Skull Kissing
In this catacomb
Surrounded by dust
Curled onto a shroud
Of ceremony

My tears absorb swift
On the cusp of death
As I stare into sockets
Left empty
Β
I am entombed pain
Reminiscing of you
Craving to see face
So familiar
Β
Holding onto boney jaw,
No lips left to whisper
Crypt echoes silent
In finality
Β
I close my eyes
And recall the past
Pursing my kiss
Into keeping
Β
Here in this necropolis
Surrounded in grey
I decay on memories
Skull kissing

The Universe is so amazing... Everything happens at the right time, in the right place, and usually when we didn't know we needed it. lol I'll explain.
My life has become full of late, with projects and obligations, and so much happiness that I rarely have time to feel anything. But when I do get thoseΒ moments, I miss the person I shared all of this with. He was the one who encouraged and criticized and reminded me to trust in my voice. He passed this year from cancer and I've been asking myself in the quiet moments if he would be proud of me... Your comment just gave me the answer. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
