SLEEP DEPRIVATION

Sleep deprivation makes you feel grumpy for sure
Not fully awake as you bump into that door
You make a coffee hoping that you come alive
Keeping everything crossed that you start to revive

The coffee has little effect you're still not awake
Would going back to bed be a terrible mistake?
You look in the mirror you are looking a mess
A cross between Dracula and Frankenstein I confess

How difficult should it be closing one's eyes
Sleep is the ultimate goal and the top prize
When this day is over and you've finished your day
Hoping that sleep deprivation doesn't get in the way
