Smell A Rat

To hope for the best, should not be a test,
Without a conclusion, it's all an illusion.
No more delusion, thank god for that, I smell a rat,
Sitting alone in a room, eliminating despair and gloom.
Yearn for me to cut my hair, as I sit all day in a chair,
This is not only unfair play, day after day it's the same.
Attempts to make things look real, so let me explain the deal,
It's easy to feel the pain, like on a cloth a deep darkened stain.
Can in addition be insane, but now I see that it's inane,
To keep on trying, always buying time.
To drop a dime on me, can't you see,
This might be my destiny, to fulfill, against my will.
Time and time again, It's nothing but a sin, although possibly I will win.

Wow!! JASON!!......this is VERY well crafted my friend....an amazingly tight rhyme scheme who's poetic rhythms and timing read perfectly ~ Especially when read ALOUD!!......It has the same tempo as a Limerick but has extended endings .....and reads like a poetic declaration in a game I have yet to define......perhaps a prisoner of some kind??!!......Regardless!!.......ALL STARS & PINNED!!.....Very Powerful stuff dear poet brother!!.....well done.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo : )
Thank you for your kind words. I am happy that you enjoyed it.
